Good afternoon Dynamo | Dash Members, Golf Registrants & Sponsors,

The health and well-being of our club members is our top priority.  Due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19, the club has made the decision to cancel the yearly golf fundraiser on Monday, March 23, 2020.

As this is our major annual fundraising event, we do want to provide the opportunity for participants to donate these dollars to the club in lieu of a refund.

The raffle has been completed and all the participants have been notified with a list of the prize winners.   Currently our offices are closed and we will notify you when we re-open to collect your item (north office) or we can make arrangements for the item to be shipped.

Please respond to Simon Boddison, sboddison@dynamodashyouth.com and indicate how you would like to proceed:

b) Raffle inclusion opportunity

c) Refund to your original form of payment

The Dynamo | Dash Youth Soccer Club Golf Outing 2020 is being hosted by The Woodlands Country Club – Palmer Course on Monday, March 23, 2020.  The year’s event is brought to you by DICK’S Sporting Goods.

Q. How do I pay for the foursome and tee-box sign?
A. Register on line using a credit card.  If you want to register by check, please send the check to Simon Boddison made payable to Houston Dynamo | Dash Youth Soccer Club (mail: Houston Dynamo | Dash Youth Soccer Club, 2201 Timberloch Place, Suite 275, The Woodlands, TX 77380) and include the team name associated with the check.  Any further questions contact at sboddison@dynamodashyouth.com

Q. Deadline to register for the team / pool group foursome?
A. Monday, February 24, 2020.

Q. Deadline to register the team / pool group tee-box?
A. Wednesday, March 18, 2020

Q. Where do I send my information that I need on the tee-box sign after I have registered ($190)
A. golf@dynamodashyouth.com (logo / picture in JPEG format; text)

Q. What if I do not have all the names of the foursome when I am about to register, do I need to wait to register?
A. No, please register immediately with one name and email address. The golf committee will circle back to you to verify the remaining names in the foursome closer to the event.

Q. What if my team cannot find four golfers to play golf, how can we support the event?
A. You can provide a donation for the event in the same value or substitute and register four tee-box signs for the foursome.

Q. Can I register as a single golfer?
A. Yes, we will add you to a group.

Q. Questions in regards to the silent or live auction, who do I contact?

Q. Can I buy raffle tickets prior to the event to show support if I am not attending the event?
A. Yes, please purchase them on line at: TBA

Q. How can I register to have my coach play in the foursome?
A. Simply register at the following price points – $900 (one coach); $1,050 (two coaches); Director’s Package ($1,300) and add the name of the coaching staff in your foursome.

Q. Can a team purely be a sponsor on the course and not enter a foursome?
A. Yes, contact Darron Rush at drush@dynamodashyouth.com to discuss sponsorship packages (marquee event, beverage cart, breakfast, dinner, Big Hitter – Rhino Drive, hole in one, longest drive, longest putt and raffle) on the course.

Q. Who do I give my silent or live auction item to?
A. Please drop this off at the soccer office to Simon Boddison: 2201 Timberloch Place, Suite 275, The Woodlands, TX 77380 (Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 4:00pm; Friday 9:00am – 1:00pm).

Q. Can I attend the dinner and awards after the golf is completed?
A. Yes, you can register on line for the dinner only $30.

THANK YOU for agreeing to be your child’s team representative for the Dynamo | Dash Youth Soccer Club Golf Outing 2020. Your help in this fundraising endeavor is truly appreciated. Your responsibilities will be as follows:

  • You will be the primary contact between the Dynamo | Dash Youth Golf Outing Committee and your team / pool group. Please make a team email distribution list.
  • Pass along the participant / sponsorship letter and the sponsorship package information to your team / pool group.
  • You are responsible for promoting the Golf Outing and for putting forth every effort to secure a ‘Standard Foursome’ ($760 – four golfers) and a T- Box Sponsor ($190) from your team / pool group.  This can be a business or a family, most teams have 14-18 players and we need to reach out to all the respective families to make this happen.
  • Please communicate to the committee any sponsorship you plan to target so that we do not duplicate requests to the same businesses.

How does the team / pool group provide a golf foursome or show support for the above event – what are the options? 

*Four parents can register to play golf

*One parent can use the foursome for business purposes

*Team can use fundraising efforts throughout the year for the foursome and support from their team budget

*Team golf representative / coach can ask for financial support from each set of parents

*Team can support the event with a donation thus not providing a physical foursome ($760)

*Team can provide four (4)  tee-box sponsors / signs in exchange for a foursome ($760)

*Team can find a sponsor to cover the foursome / donation

*A coaching staff member(s) or a Director of Coaching can be included within the foursome (please review the price points)

*Teams can register their foursome with one named golfer and add the remaining names later

*Teams are asked to register on line with a credit card payment (secondary option – check)

Dynamo | Dash Youth Soccer Club is a 501(C) 3 non-profit organization

The Palmer Course:

The Palmer Course features 27 holes of undulating and mounded terrain, surrounded by challenging bunkers and intricate water hazards. It offers a challenge for even the best golfers. The original 18 holes (King and General nines) opened in 1990, the third nine (Deacon) opened for play in 1995. Each hole offers a new challenge, as the course was carved out of the tall Texas pines, making it an overall favorite for Members of all skill levels.

The Designer – Arnold Palmer

Arnold Palmer’s expertise extends well beyond his Hall of Fame golf career. In fact, his portfolio of golf course designs has landed him nearly an equal number of accolades. Palmer’s design career began in the 1960’s, and took flight in 1971 when he joined forces with the late Ed Seay. With a design philosophy of creating courses that challenge, but do not overwhelm, his designs are flexible enough for serious and skillful competition, yet provide a fun and pleasant experience for all golfers.

The Clubhouse:

The 33,000-square-foot Palmer Clubhouse, located in the village of Cochran’s crossing, is a warm and elegant setting where Members can relax after work or a round of golf, gather for Bridge or have lunch. It boasts a bar area with a nice view, as well as a library for a quiet gathering. The Club maintains a full social and dining calendar, as well as hosts many catered member events.
