Welcome to the Houston Dynamo Premier Cup 2023.

The Houston Dynamo Premier Cup is the number one boy’s premier pre-season event in Houston. For the girl’s event, click here.

This year, we are excited to bring together the top U9, U10, U11, U12 and U13 teams from MLS NEXT, ECNL and Select clubs from all over the country.  Additionally, we invite U14 & U15 MLS NEXT, ECNL and Select teams to participate in a series of exhibition games providing pre-season competition against unfamiliar opponents.

We are proud to provide all participants with world-class turf playing facilities and quality host hotels all located in close proximity to the fields and the vibrant amenities of The Woodlands, Texas.  For more information on the facilities and hotels, please see below.


Below are other items that you need to complete to make sure your team is ready for the event.

  • Make sure the correct Head Coach is listed on your team’s roster for the event, this is how coaching conflicts will be identified in the system
  • Upload your official roster & player cards in GotSport, instructions are detailed on the tournament website
  • Make sure all players are listed on your event roster
  • If your team is not marked as paid, please pay ASAP. The quickest way to pay is by changing your payment online to a credit card & replying to this email
  • If you are paying by check, it needs to be at the North Office (2201 Timberloch Place, Suite 275, The Woodlands, TX 77380) by Wednesday at 4 PM

By Monday at 2 pm, the schedules, field maps & welcome letter will be posted to the tournament website.

Event Information

  • Hosted on quality all-weather turf facilities – no risk of tournament cancellation

  • USSF certified referees are assigned to all games. Full crews on 9v9 and 11v11 games
  • Winners and Finalists in the U9-13 brackets will receive individual awards
  • In the U14/15 age group, MLS NEXT, ECNL, and invited Select teams will play exhibition games against clubs/teams from different leagues and affiliations to create as many unique match-ups as possible.  Teams will have the opportunity to select 2 or 3 games

The Houston Premier Cup will be checking all teams online using the GotSport system.

The deadline for check-in is January 11, 2023

Documents required for check-in:

  • US Club/USYSA Official Roster
  • US Club/USYSA Player Cards with pictures

US Club/USYSA Medical Releases are required to be with the team at the games, please have them in case we need to check at the fields.

Log into the GotSoccer account you registered the team with & upload the required documents to the event. Click here for detailed instructions.

If your player cards are not yet available, please submit a letter from your club registrar certifying your players are registered for the current season through USYSA or US Club. The letter should be on club stationery and include the team name, player name, player date of birth and player ID number.

IMPORTANT: This is a Stay to Play event. All reservations (individual or group) must be made through the official reservation link with Team Travel Source.

We need your help! Houston Premier Cup needs a large number of staff and volunteers to make a tournament of this size work. This year we have over 75 teams playing across 2 locations totally over 150 games! Over the course of the weekend, Tournament HQ and Field Marshaling volunteers are critical to the success of this tournament.

The main responsibility of the Field Marshall’s position is to notify the medical staff on site of any injuries during the games. Other responsibilities include monitoring and reporting the behavior of the players, parents, coaches, and referees. Additionally, you will be required to make sure that the facilities are kept tidy and all trash is disposed of in the correct manner.

Volunteers placed at the Tournament HQ will help set-up (early shift), assist with scorecards, help answer questions from tournament participants, and assist the Tournament Site Lead at that location.
