Disability Program

Open registration all season long.  No previous soccer experience required.  The program welcomes players of all ages, with any form of cognitive or physical disability, including but not limited to:

  • Autism
  • Down Syndrome
  • Hearing impaired
  • Vision impaired
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Stroke
  • Neurological issues

The program allows participants to focus on their abilities, in an encouraging, safe & FUN environment.

For more experienced players, the program is a feeder program to the Para 7 a-side National Soccer Team.

The directors of the program will be Keith Johnson and Gabriel Hull.  Keith has over 100 appearances with the US Paralympic National Team and Gabriel Hull has two (2) appearances so far for the U21 team.

The kick-off date for Houston is February 27, 2021 at Bear Branch Park, The Woodlands and March 27 at Dad’s Club, Clear Lake (CP only).  The last play date for the Spring is Saturday, May 8, 2021.

There will be lots of opportunities to be identified for national team tournaments for the following ages: U10, U15 & U21 national teams.  The first ever female national team is being formed for international competition this year in 2021.
